Innovative Tuning’s 96 Subaru Impreza codename Project Voltron went 6.6 in the eighth and 10.4 in the quarter mile Saturday. This was the first time the car has been run on the Hoosier DOT tires and they put a nice dent in our traction issues. The car has more in it. I need to practice getting into 5th gear. It’s very awkward and I’m rather slow at it so the 1/4 mile ET and trap are suffering.
The rear tires are spinning on the rims and the tires are spinning on the track as well. We’ll need to screw them before trying to go bigger. With that done, lower tire pressure, some seat time, and then more boost, this baby has low 10’s in it.
