Innovative Tuning was closed (Oct 30-Nov 6) while I attended the SEMA show in Las Vegas to investigate new brands, products, exhibit for Vi-Pec and meet with vendors about some exiting new developments. We’re back now and 200+ photos and videos have been posted on the Facebook account. Go to:

Our customer Jason’s Impreza continues its reign as the quickest and fastest Canadian owned Subaru. After taking the crown last year, he pushed the goal for this year to a 9.7 second quarter mile drag pass. Last night we went to the track with Jason for the first passes of 2011. The second pass of the night was a 9.7 at 142 MPH.
A lot of people struggle to achieve goals like this, break countless parts and spend huge sums over months or years in the pursuit of said goals. To achieve Jason’s goals two years in a row the first time out with the car speaks volumes about our team at Innovative Tuning, Jason’s commitment to the project, us, and his driving.

Cinco de Dyno! - Dyno day Thursday May 5th 10am-6pm

If you show up with a sombrero and a mustache like this guy, the price goes down to:
$59.77+tax=$65.00
Please make sure the car runs safely and is safe to drive at wide open throttle and high speeds, because that’s what a dyno pull involves. If the car isn’t safe to race it may not be safe to run on a dyno. That means it must track straight, can’t have dry rotted or chorded tires, leak fluids etc. If the car is deemed unsafe it will not be run.
Also, we dyno lowered cars all the time, but there is a limit to how low a car can be. It has to clear the ramps, rollers, and we need room to strap it down safely. If your car has very little ground clearance it may not fit on the dyno without scraping (if at all) so keep that in mind. This is a rare thing, but I mention it now to avoid any surprises. Most cars we put on the dyno are lowered and still have plenty of clearance so again...this is not a common problem.
Innovative Tuning now a Cobb Pro Tuner for MAZDASPEED vehicles.

Innovative Tuning is now offering custom tuning via Cobb Tuning’s AccessTUNER Pro software for MAZDASPEED vehicles. Cobb currently has support for 07-10 MAZDASPEED 3 and 06-07 MAZDASPEED 6.
In tha past MAZDASPEED owners were stuck tuning their cars with flawed piggyback systems that offered little control, poor drivability, and were inconsistent due to fighting with the stock ECU. With Cobb’s software we can remap the factory computer so that increased torque output and boost levels, better optimized fuel and timing are expected rather than attempting to override what the stock ECU is doing. This gives us greater control over the engine which means more power, more consistent running, and allows us to set up a margin of safety that matches each customers needs.
Custom tuning optimizes tuning parameters to account for differences from one vehicle to the next. This improves reliability and drivability. It also allows us to push boundaries further to make more power if the customer so desires.
For anyone looking to modify their MAZDASPEED vehicle beyond the basic stage 1 or stage 2 mods, custom tuning is a must to keep the engine running properly and take advantage of your aftermarket parts.
Innovative Tuning has been a Cobb Pro Tuner for Subaru, Mitsubishi and Honda for years and it was time to add MAZDASPEED to that list. Last month Christian from Cobb came out and tuned the first few MAZDASPEED vehicles with us and we’re pleased to say those customers were very happy with the results.
