Canada’s quickest/fastest Subaru

Congratulations to Jason for becoming the owner of Canada’s quickest and fastest Subaru, and doing it on regular street tires! At 11.3 seconds and a best trap of 127 mph his daily driven 06 STi is cooking on it’s pump gas with water/meth injection tune. Jason’s STi sports an Innovative Tuning Stage 2+ shortblock with Stage 2 heads, UR GT35R Kit, AEM EMS tuned by Innovative Tuning and a host of supporting mods. It’s as fast as it looks good. Keep up the good work Jason!

Innovative Tuning takes 2nd at CSCS Power Adder Debut!

Project Voltron’s first competition was a resounding success, taking second place at the CSCS finale at Toronto Motorsports Park.
Running on street tires, we were severely traction limited all day, but still managed a podium finish in front of thousands of fans in Cayuga, ON.

After 2 rounds of qualifying the Super Street Power Adder class was narrowed to a field of 16.

We got a first round bye since the other car didn’t make the call.
In the second round we took out a Datsun 240z with a turbo 6 cyl in it.
In the third we beat an 11 second turbo VR6 Golf.

In the final round I was up against the Ken Shaw Toyota Corolla. It has a 2JZ single turbo setup in it running through a built turbo 400 automatic and a built Ford 9” rear. I struggled with spinning front tires and wheel hopping rears all day and in the final it was a mess. It was a final so I stayed in it for a bit, but still bogged into second and that was pretty much the end of the race. We were almost .6 behind at the 330’ mark and .8 behind at the 1320’. With proper tires we’ll be ready for a rematch.

1st time out, 1st place!

Out with the old and in with the new. The Innovative Tuning sponsored Honda R&D Americas rally team has replaced it’s RSX Type S with a new 2007 Civic Si.

In its Rally America debut at STPR 2007 the team, driver James Robinson, and co-driver Dave Shindle scored big with a P class win. Awesome work getting the car ready to race in such a short period of time guys!

Check out our Honda R&D 2007 STPR gallery for more great pics from photographer Nick Lehner.
